Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload multiple images at once?

Yes. You can upload multiple images at once. Each image is processed separately, and the extracted text can be combined into one Word document.

When is the .zip download useful?

If you upload multiple images and want a separate Word file for each image, download the .zip. It contains an individual .docx file for each image, along with a combined .docx containing all the extracted text.

Is it free to convert JPG to Word?

Yes. You can extract text from JPG, PNG, and other supported images and create a Word (.docx) file without signing up or paying. Downloaded files do not have a watermark.

Which image file formats can I use?

You can use JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, and TIFF images. The maximum file size for OCR is 1MB. Clear, good-quality images usually give better text recognition.

Can I edit the extracted text before downloading?

Yes. After OCR, the extracted text appears in an editable box. You can correct spelling or OCR errors, make changes, and then download the result as a Word or TXT file.

What format is the Word file downloaded in?

The Word file is downloaded in .docx format, which can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word and other compatible word processors. You can also download the extracted text as a .txt file.

Is my image uploaded to your server?

Your image may be sent to our OCR service for processing. When the free API quota runs out, OCR switches to Tesseract.js in your browser. We do not store your images or extracted text.

Which languages can the OCR recognize?

The OCR supports 40+ languages, including English, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, and Russian. Selecting the correct source language can help improve OCR results.
