imgtotxt.io runs OCR entirely inside your web browser using WebAssembly. Your images are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never shared with anyone. When you close or refresh the page, the image and extracted text vanish.

2. Personal Information

We do not require any account, signup or personal information to use our tool. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number unless you voluntarily submit it via our Contact form.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We may use your browser's local storage to remember your theme preference (dark/light mode). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

4. Analytics

If we use any analytics (such as privacy-friendly, aggregated visitor counts), it is done without collecting personally identifiable information and without tracking individual users across websites.

5. Third-Party Services

We load certain third-party resources (such as Google Fonts and the Tesseract.js library from a CDN) to make the tool work. These services may collect basic technical data such as IP address, as is standard for any web request.
